Steam Page Tips for Cozy Games

Cozy players buy a feeling. Palette, characters and pace sell the game; feature lists mostly don’t. This audience is also unusually active on TikTok and in curated "cozy games" lists, so your page assets get reused far beyond Steam.

The capsule

Warm palette, soft shapes, a character or home base as the focal point. Cozy capsules can carry more detail than most genres because the browsing context (curated lists) shows them larger.

The short description hook

Name the activities and the vibe: what you do on a normal in-game day. "No combat, no timers" is a selling point for this audience — if it’s true, say it explicitly.

Screenshots that convert

Show decorating/customization payoff and NPC interactions. One "your farm/shop/home at its prettiest" shot does more than any systems screen.

The mistake to avoid

Tagging cozy while the game has stress mechanics. This audience refunds and reviews on betrayed expectations more than any other.
