Find the part of the connection that needs attention.

Check the app, project, plugin and agent separately before repeating a setup or generation.

The editor is not connecting

Check that the correct project is open, the engine version is supported and CosindraMCP is enabled under Edit → Plugins. Restart Unreal after a plugin change and read the CosindraMCP lines in Output Log.

Keep Desktop or the IDE extension connected to the local server. Do not delete unrelated plugin folders or terminate unknown processes to force a connection.

My IDE agent does not see the tools

An editor agent and a terminal agent can read different MCP configurations. Follow the setup steps for the agent you are actually using, then inspect its own MCP status.

Apply did not open Desktop

Check that Desktop is installed and signed into the same account. If it opens but cannot apply, check project connection and whether the generated files are still available.

Send a useful support report

Include the product, action, visible error and the time it occurred. Share relevant diagnostics through support, not a public post. Review logs for prompts, private paths and credentials before sending.
